Jason McPharlin
Rushmore Investment Advisors, Inc., Portfolio Manager Jason McPharlin is an experienced investment and business management expert, with over 10 years of professional experience and two Master’s degrees in the field of business. Jason McPharlin has established himself as an insightful investment advisor, and his stock recommendations feature in articles by CNNMoney, Thomson Reuters, and Money Morning. Much of Jason McPharlin’s academic and professional career has taken place in Florida. He received his first degree, a Bachelor of Science in International Business & Trade, at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. His first Master’s degree was also obtained from a Florida school, Nova Southeastern University’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship in Fort Lauderdale. Jason McPharlin obtained his last degree, a Master of International Management, from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona, but he returned almost immediately to Florida for a position with the international division of Blockbuster L.L.C. With Blockbuster, Jason McPharlin worked as a Senior Financial Analyst until 1998, when he moved to DIRECTV Latin America as a Finance Director. He held this position for over five years, during which he oversaw the creation of a five-year plan. In late 2003, he left DIRECTV Latin America to join Northstar Capital Management Inc. Over his seven-year career with the company, Jason McPharlin served in a variety of positions, including Portfolio Manager, Chief Compliance Officer, and Vice President, and he remains a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He left the position of Vice President in early 2011 to join Rushmore Investment Advisors. In his free time, Jason McPharlin enjoys spending time with his family and playing the occasional game of golf. Jason McPharlin supports Florida’s Children First, an organization that advocates for children’s welfare and rights by raising public consciousness of issues affecting them.
