Ronald Federici
Dr. Ronald S. Federici is a Clinical Developmental Neuropsychologist practicing in McLean, VA. Dr. Federici earned his B.S. in Clinical Psychology and Organic Chemistry at Purdue University in 1980. Dr. Ronald Federici also holds two Masters’ degrees in Biological/Physiological Psychology and Neuropsychology from the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois School of Professional Psychology, and dual doctorates from the University of Illinois School of Professional Psychology in both Clinical Neuropsychology and Child Development. In addition to his numerous degrees, Dr. Ronald Federici has also received countless hours of additional specialized training in neuropsychology and other relevant psychological and medical topics. Dr. Ronald Federici is a current member of 17 psychological and neuropsychological associations, including the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology and the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists. Dr. Ronald Federici has been featured at nearly 100 separate conferences, presentations, and training events around the globe and has appeared numerous times on news programs, such as ABC’s Turning Point, Good Morning America, and 20/20, NBC’s Dateline, and CNN. Dr. Federici has also acted as keynote speaker for such esteemed organizations as the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Institute of Health, and the D.C. Bar Association. A published writer and contributor to numerous journal articles, Dr. Ronald Federici is the author of the 1998 book Help for the Hopeless Child: A Guide for Families (with Special Discussion for Assessment and Treatment of the Post-Institutionalized Child), which is now in its second edition. Other works by Dr. Ronald Federici have appeared in the journals of the Society for Pediatric Research, the Journal of Pediatric Neurology, and the Journal of Psychology and Neurology, to name a few. In addition to his fulltime practice, Dr. Federici is also the Staff Neuropsychologist at both Mt. Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, VA and Dominion Psychiatric Hospital in Falls Church, VA. Dr. Federici also holds current consulting positions with nearly 30 organizations, including Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital, Andrews Air Force Base, and the Washington Post. The father of seven adopted children from several pars of the world, Dr. Ronald Federici speaks Italian, German, Russian, and Romanian.
