Paul Matik
Mr. Paul Matik studied Accounting at the University of Illinois at Chicago (formerly known as the Chicago Circle Campus of the University of Illinois), receiving his Bachelor of Science degree, which laid the foundation for the positions he would hold and the experience he would garner throughout the years. As the current Chief Financial Officer at a large Chicago civil engineering and consulting firm, Paul Matik runs the agency’s financial department and supervises a small staff. The company depends on Paul Matik’s financial expertise and his leadership skills to ensure the company remains at the top of its industry. Paul Matik boasts a history of professional leadership roles in a variety of settings. Prior to preparing financial statements, handling bank relations, and managing the company’s stock plans at, Paul Matik was a Controller at the merchant credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) processing agency American National Credit Card Company, where he oversaw the work of 13 people, in addition to managing the company’s finances. Paul Matik’s previous job was at the public accounting company Terrell, Weiss and Sugar, where he handled financial statements, audits, operations analyses, and estate and trust tax returns. At Terrell, Weiss and Sugar, Matik worked on personalized financial plans to help the company’s clients save money. Before Terrell, Weiss and Sugar, Matik was the CFO at Regensteiner Printing Company, where he supervised a staff of 20. Aside from his work, when he finds the time Mr. Paul Matik enjoys watching soccer (the Chicago Fire), football (the Chicago Bears) and hockey (the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Wolves), reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
