Robert Morelli
Upon completing his undergraduate education, Robert Morelli entered New York’s vibrant and competitive financial industry, starting out with Paine Webber, which later merged with UBS Investment Bank. Robert Morelli focused on collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) while with UBS Investment Bank. He conducted transactions involving asset-backed securities (ABS). Morelli also built UBS Investment Bank’s first ABS CDO secondary trading desk. In 2005, Robert Morelli became Head of Structuring and Syndicate of Mortgage and Asset-backed CDOs. For two years, Morelli led the group responsible for distributing more than 60 CDO transactions, which totaled over $55 billion in value. He also strengthened client services, acting as the primary point of contact between customers and the sales force. While at UBS Investment Bank, Morelli collaborated with the two men who would eventually become his business partners. He and his former colleagues opened Sirona Advisors to provide financial services to clients in the area of highly structured, illiquid, credit mortgage-related securities. The Sirona Advisors team assists clients with creating structured strategies to improve their businesses. Before joining Wall Street, Cornell University graduate Robert Morelli obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing in 1999.
