Sell-Side Veteran Robert Karofsky Joins AllianceBernstein

Former Deutsche Bank, AG, executive Robert Karofsky will join the staff of global investment firm AllianceBernstein, LP. Serving as Global Head of Equity Trading, he will utilize his years of experience on the sell side of corporate finance and trading to aid AllianceBernstein's efforts on the buy side. Mr. Karofsky first worked for 14 years at the prestigious firm of Morgan Stanley, most recently as Head of North American Equity Risk, before joining Deutsche Bank. At AllianceBernstein, he will report to Patrick Whalen, a veteran of Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc.

A graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Robert Karofsky entered the world of finance at Morgan Stanley. At Deutsche Bank, where he served for five years, as Managing Director, Co-Head of Global Equities, and Head of North American Equities, Mr. Karofsky took an extended leave of absence in the middle of 2010.
