While he was thrilled to have a new job and advanced opportunities, he knew that this meant he would have to manage other accountants in his department. Luckily, Rajiv Abrol was fully prepared to handle these managerial tasks.
Rajiv Abrol believes that people work best when they have a supportive, team-based environment to work in. Rajiv Abrol often held meetings with his staff, and they discussed projects they were working on and problems they were having with those projects. Rajiv Abrol gave guidance, but he also listened well and encouraged his staff to speak freely. Each member was given ample time both to speak and to be heard.
A conversational, comfortable management style is hard to come by, especially in an accounting department, but Rajiv Abrol thinks it’s the best style to use when you want to both teach and motivate.
