With her impressive background in instruction and communication, Ms. Eakins has been able to encourage free interaction and multi-level teaching strategies that will certainly allow her students to reach their full potential. Her admirable philosophy of education sufficiently articulates how she lays the foundation for tomorrow’s leaders: by making the classroom a zone of learning that does not consider backgrounds and capabilities as limiting factors towards taking challenges and eventually reaching one’s fullest potential. Believing that play does not merely serve as an avenue for enjoyment but for learning as well, Ms. Eakins utilizes games and theme units that fortify the minds of her wards. She also believes that every member of the teaching force should become interactive members who can coordinate with one another and provide helpful feedback and information by taking part in weekly grade level team meetings. These meetings serve as avenues to allow education specialists to help one another towards adherence to state standards in as far as the school curriculum and practice is concerned.
