Tom Zban
Specializing in orthopedic and musculoskeletal imaging, Dr. Tom Zban practices medicine at Mecklenburg Radiology Associates, P.A., in Charlotte, North Carolina. Certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Tom Zban belongs to the Association of University Radiologists, the American College of Radiology, the Mecklenburg County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the Radiological Society of America, and the North Carolina Medical Society.
Dr. Tom Zban specializes in orthopedic musculoskeletal imaging and procedures. These procedures include joint aspirations and arthrograms, lumbar punctures, pediatric hip ultrasound exams, therapeutic fluoroscopic nerve blocks and epidural injections, therapeutic joint blocks, as well as soft tissue and bone biopsies.
Beyond his proficiency in clinical procedures, Dr. Tom Zban has served in leadership positions during his medical career. Currently functioning as Chairman of Radiology at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews, Dr. Tom Zban also provides radiology services at Lake Norman Regional Hospital, as well as Presbyterian Hospitals in Huntersville, Matthews, and downtown Charlotte, NC.
Attending Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University on a full athletic scholarship in football, Dr. Tom Zban graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. An accomplished athlete, Dr. Tom Zban also lettered in baseball and football. Dr. Zban went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from The Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. Dr. Zban fulfilled his residency at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, where he was named Chief Radiology Resident and was selected for the residency interview committee. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at the university. He currently acts as Partner at Mecklenburg Radiology Associates.
