Marshall Dornfeld
A financial director with more than 25 years of industry experience, Marshall Dornfeld also commits to giving back to the community through his involvement in the Kiwanis Club of Greater West Hampton. As President of the Club, Marshall Dornfeld helps the organization carry out their mission of “changing the world, one child and one community at a time.” Marshall Dornfeld and the leadership at the Kiwanis Club of Greater West Hampton support an assortment of area programs including the Westhampton Beach Key Club, Eastport Key Club, and Westhampton Beach Builder's Club.
In addition to his work with Kiwanis, Marshall Dornfeld also supports the Wildlife Rescue Center. Marshall Dornfeld joined Independent Financial Marketing Group, Inc., in 2006 as the National Director of Managed Business. Marshall Dornfeld managed all fee-based advisory business and group benefit programs for the company. Before being hired in 2006, Marshall Dornfeld spent 15 years working for Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. Marshall Dornfeld started with the company in 1991 creating innovative investment strategies as the Head of the Special Transactions Group.
During this time, Marshall Dornfeld gleaned valuable insight into the bond, equity, and options markets. In 1994, Marshall Dornfeld initiated the Financial Services Group at Oppenheimer. After successfully integrating the group into the company, Marshall Dornfeld received a promotion to Managing Director in 1995. As the Managing Director of Oppenheimer Asset Management in 2003, Marshall Dornfeld headed the Alternative Investment Group, a trendsetter in the hedge fund industry.
Marshall Dornfeld assumed the role of Managing Director of Investments in 2005 and started an advisory practice for managed accounts and retirement programs. Marshall Dornfeld earned his Bachelor of Science from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University, in 1983.
