Mark Semeraro
Double majoring in Economics and Finance at William Paterson University, Mark Semeraro graduated as a member of the Omicron Delta International Economics Honor Society in 1989. That fall, he began his studies at the University of Bridgeport School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor. Mark Semeraro gained valuable insight into the litigation process while serving as a judicial law clerk. Since moving into private practice, Mark Semeraro has served as a trusted and accomplished litigator at a number of prominent New Jersey law firms. In these positions, Mark Semeraro managed diverse matters, including governmental liability, civil rights cases, employment, automobile negligence, real estate, professional responsibility, and toxic torts. Now a partner at the law firm of McManimon & Scotland, LLC, Mark Semeraro concentrates his practice in commercial and complex litigation, government law, employment/labor law, and redevelopment and land use. He has successfully defended various claims involving employment, civil rights, and environmental law at various stages, including motions to dismiss, summary judgments, settlements, trials, and appeals. In another area of focus, Mark Semeraro represents real estate agencies in all variety of transactional, administrative, and litigation matters. Each year since 2005, Martindale-Hubbell has awarded Mark Semeraro its highest rating, based on surveys of other attorneys, for his skills and ethics. Mark Semeraro has also been one of A. M. Best’s recommended insurance defense attorneys. Mark Semeraro passed the bar examinations and is licensed to practice law before all courts of New Jersey and New York. He also gained admission to practice before the federal Third Circuit Court of Appeals, a jurisdiction that includes all of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
