For more than a decade, writer, management professional, and former police officer Kyle Goodwin has been immersed in an array of occupational activities. In his present role as a part-time contributor to Chicano Channel Magazine in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Goodwin writes and reports on various topics, such as local athletes, illegal immigration, and other subjects over the past year. At Chicano Channel Magazine, Kyle Goodwin joins a cast of talented reporters and media professionals who report on events from a largely ethnic perspective.
Prior to his current activities as a writer, Mr. Goodwin spent 10 years as a Police Officer in the San Antonio Police Department where he held the full spectrum of law enforcement duties in the Eastside region. During his tenure with the San Antonio Police Department, Kyle Goodwin investigated numerous crimes and incidents ranging from gang activity to traffic violations, promoting safety in some of the city’s toughest neighborhoods. In addition to the enforcement of city and state laws, he led the investigations of major automobile accidents, handled various aspects of public relations, and testified in court on many occasions. Mr. Goodwin held membership in the San Antonio Police Officers Association between 2001 and 2010.
Previously, Kyle Goodwin served as a Warehouse Manager with M&G Marketing Inc., for whom he provided logistical oversight at nine separate Hallmark Stores in the greater San Antonio area. He also operated in a sales capacity at Gary Pools in San Antonio, where he sold spas, pool covers, pumps, filters, cleaners, and other related accessories. Educated at the University of Texas at San Antonio and San Antonio College, Kyle Goodwin pursued studies in Business Administration.
