In 2004, Dr. Janet Chollet co-founded Pear Tree Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Waltham, Massachusetts, as a start-up company focused on serving the unmet medical needs of older women experiencing menopause and other conditions. As the firm’s Director of Clinical Affairs, Dr. Chollet concentrates on developing leading-edge drugs and fulfilling their commercial potential. Her efforts led to more than $2.7 million in venture capitalization designated for marketing the Pear Tree pharmacopoeia. Dr. Janet Chollet has filed applications for several patents for modalities designed to treat atrophic vaginitis in post-menopausal patients.

Dr. Janet Chollet has published in such prestigious publications as the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and in journals targeted to physicians dealing with menopause and other conditions affecting female patients. Dove Medical Press has also accepted several of her articles. Dr. Chollet is a member of the National American Menopause Society, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Medical Association. She holds medical licenses for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Janet Chollet received her M.D. from New York Medical College. She interned and completed her residency at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where she concentrated on obstetrics and gynecology. She has taught at several highly regarded medical schools around the U.S., and she holds a current post as an instructor at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she works with students from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Chollet gained experience in conducting clinical trials of pharmaceutical products when she worked at Magee-Women’s Hospital of UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and in other positions. In addition to her extensive medical education, Dr. Chollet attended law school at the University of North Dakota.
