Dubernia Bales

Dubernia Bales, the CEO of Zone Engineering, Inc., credits his early education with laying the foundation for his successful career. Although he was not the best student in his class, Mr. Bales made a lasting impression on several of his teachers. Mr. Bales names Mrs. Helen Gurtner, one of his elementary school teachers, as a major influence in his life. She took Dubernia Bales under her wing and continued to mentor him during his formative years.

By the time he entered middle school, Dubernia Bales had the confidence to succeed in his studies. He graduated from high school and enrolled at The University of New Mexico, where he earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Although initially reluctant to attend college, Mr. Bales excelled in his classes and became the Student Chapter President of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He also received a scholarship to help pay for his college education.

After college graduation, Dubernia Bales distinguished himself as a project manager for a number of Las Vegas engineering companies. In 2005, he established his own company, Zone Engineering, Inc., in Las Vegas. Using the contacts and knowledge gained over the previous 10 years, Dubernia Bales landed a number of major contracts, including City View Business Park, Southwest Gas Blue Diamond, and Pecos Natural Gas Tap.

When not working on client projects with Zone Engineering, Dubernia Bales enjoys water sports, including swimming, diving, and deep-sea fishing. Mr. Bales also plays team sports, such as baseball, softball, golf, and football.
