Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan
Accomplished neurosurgeon Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan studied medicine at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she earned a place in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, which recognizes excellence in medical studies. She then completed nearly a decade of medical training, beginning at the University of Michigan’s Department of Surgery. After fulfilling a surgical internship, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan completed a residency at the University of Washington in Seattle that focused on neurological surgery and undertook a cerebrovascular fellowship.
She found employment as a neurosurgeon with various clinics before joining the Neurosurgical Consultants of Washington, an organization of six experienced neurosurgeons in Seattle. Along with her colleagues, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan helps to provide a number of neurological services, including treatment of tumors and spinal, vascular, movement, and cranial disorders. Dr. Srinivasan concentrates on spinal and cranial neurosurgical disorders, such as pituitary and skull base tumors. In addition to her work with the Neurosurgical Consultants of Washington, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan belongs to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and she spent two years as the Treasurer with the Washington State Association of Neurological Surgeons. Additionally, she is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Previously, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan held three fellowships: a National Multiple Sclerosis Society advanced postdoctoral fellowship, an American Cancer Society, Inc. clinical fellowship, and a Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, Inc., Summer Student Fellowship. She also served on the Scientific Program Committee for the Congress of Neurological Surgeons in San Diego in 2001.
