Colleen Barney has an abundance of hobbies and passions that she enjoys pursuing. She is actively involved in the organization, Southern California Striders, which is a track and field club of youths, open, sub-masters, masters and seniors track and field athletes in the pursuit of excellence through camaraderie and competition. This organization aims at promoting health, well-being, and competition through all levels of ages and activities. Ms. Barney also fully immerses herself into her community. She formerly worked on the board of human options, and she also collected and delivered supplies to Poli Village School in Tanzania. Barney also assisted with providing numerous travel funds to this year’s Beijing Olympic athletes. Colleen is also an advocate of her local schools, as she is Parliamentarian of the PTA board for Newport Heights Elementary, as well as currently sitting on the GATE parent Advisory Committee for the Newport Mesa Unified School District. Before joining Albrecht & Barney, Barney worked at Jackson DeMarco & Peckenpaugh.
