Chris Hysinger
Since 2010, Chris Hysinger has filled the role of Vice President at Orbital Traction, Ltd., a subsidiary of InterSyn Technologies, L.P. From headquarters in Houston, the enterprising young executive strives to elevate his company’s strategic partnerships. Chris Hysinger manages the engineering team for the provider of Milner continuously variable transmissions and promotes use of the company’s technologies. As a member of the senior management team, Chris Hysinger helps set the strategic direction the company takes to reach its technical and commercial goals.
Educated in Texas, Chris Hysinger earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in mechanical engineering, graduating with honors from The University of Texas at Austin; he completed his Master of Science in 1997. In 2000, Chris Hysinger advanced his education with a Master of Business Administration from Rice University. Ranking scholastically in the top 10 percent of his graduating class earned him Jones Scholar recognition. Before pursuing his MBA, he spent three years working as a Project Engineer for Schlumberger Technology Corporation’s Sugar Land Product Center. His responsibilities included technology development and engineering sustainability for a premier wireline-logging tool.
Chris Hysinger spent 2001 as a Trading Intern with Vitol S.A., Inc., in Houston, before accepting a Trader position in 2002 with BP. He left that role in 2007 to work for Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy. As Vice President of Natural Gas Trading, he managed all the commercial activities on the Texas trading desk; he also fulfilled risk management and supervisory duties. He remained in that job until accepting his current position with Orbital Traction.
Outside of work, Chris Hysinger remains actively involved in numerous support positions. He recently accepted the Vice Chair position on the Board of Trustees for Wesley Academy in Houston. Since 2009, he has contributed to the St. Stephen’s Episcopal School’s Board of Trustees as Treasurer. Through mission trips with First United Methodist Church in Houston, he has traveled to the border town of Acuna, Mexico, and offered relief in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
