A member of the Jenks Leadership Program, Blake Tomnitz enrolled at the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College in 2008. He expects to graduate with a Bachelor of Science with concentration in Leadership and Finance and Management in 2012. In the fall of 2010, Mr. Tomnitz traveled to Geneva, Switzerland, as part of the school’s study abroad program. During his semester at the University of Geneva, Blake Tomnitz worked as an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Frick Capital, where he received training in asset allocation and due diligence and participated in meetings with future investors and clients.
In addition to his experience with Frick Capital, Blake Tomnitz has also interned with D.R. Horton, Inc., SWS Group, Inc.’s Southwest Securities, and UBS Investment Bank. Most recently, Mr. Tomnitz received an invitation to return to UBS for a second year with the company. He first joined UBS as part of the President’s Summer Internship Program in 2010, and also worked as a Summer Analyst for the Global Power and Utilities division in 2011, prior to returning to Boston College to complete his studies.
Outside of Blake Tomnitz’s professional activities, he has participated in several volunteer capacities. He serves as an Event Coordinator and Leader for the Executive Board of Circle K International in Boston. In this position, he organizes various service projects in the community. Blake Tomnitz also participated in social and play activities with patients at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas for nearly a year, and he worked as an Assistant Program Director for the Santa Clara Catholic Academy in Dallas during the summer of 2009.
Some of Blake Tomnitz’s personal hobbies include cross-country running, traveling, skiing, and reading military and political history.
