Founded by company President Rick Libby in 2001, The Traveling Vineyard is a home wine tasting experience similar in concept to a Tupperware party. Originating in a home in Tampa, Florida, The Traveling Vineyard has expanded into a nationwide success.

The mission of The Traveling Vineyard is to bring people together to share the wines they love. Independent self employed wine consultants in states across America and eager to educate wine newcomers and connoisseurs alike in the privacu of thier home. Additionally, hosts can not only engage The Traveling Vineyard wine consultants services to entertain guests with a truly unique and relaxing party experience, they can also participate in a rewards program to earn discounts on select wines and other products.

The Traveling Vineyard began as a supplemental business to the Geerlings & Wade mail order wine catalog company. When Geerlings & Wade was struggling to get business, Chief Marketing Officer Rick Libby thought of The Traveling Vineyard. After becoming a pioneer in the sourcing of high quality wines from small vineyards across Europe, Geerlings & Wade went on to become the leading direct marketer of fine wine and wine accessories. The Traveling Vineyard is now owned by Phoenix Vintners, LLC, with Rick Libby serving as President.

As a pending member of the Direct Selling Association, The Traveling Vineyard adheres to a strict DSA Code of Ethics. The company also works with shipcompliant.com and is a current member of the Free the Grapes Organization and WineAmerica.
