In 2000, Steven K. Umstead returned to Fidelity Investments to oversee the firm’s Cleveland, Ohio, branch. His success in building the Cleveland location into a top producer earned the office numerous recognitions, including Branch of the Quarter as well as Excellence in Customer Satisfaction and Quality. In 2003, Steven K. Umstead was promoted to Branch Manager of Fidelity’s largest branch in the Mid-Atlantic region in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia, where he repeated his success. His leadership, recruitment of new staff, and restructuring developed the branch into a top performer and turned it into a top branch of the 11 in the region. In this role, he earned Fidelity’s Sales Achievement Award, the Chairman’s Award, and Branch Manager of the Quarter recognition in 2005. Steven K. Umstead transitioned to a new role with Fidelity in 2006, which placed him at the helm of a specialized team serving high-net-worth clients through Fidelity Private Access.

Steven K. Umstead’s talent for working with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families led him to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC. In 2007, he became a Vice President and Financial Advisor for the firm, developing customized wealth management plans for clients in The Harter Wealth Advisory Group within the Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management division. In this position, Steven K. Umstead built and maintained beneficial relationships with individuals with minimum assets of $20 million. Today, Steven K. Umstead serves as Director of Pactolus Private Wealth Management LLC, a firm he helped establish. He continues to offer comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to high-net-worth clients. Mr. Umstead is a Certified Financial Planner (TM) practitioner and has successfully completed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
