Robert Torstrup
Electrical technician Robert Torstrup studied his trade for four years in a New Jersey technical school before embarking on a 13-year career that has included the installation of cable and alarm systems. He established himself as a subcontractor in 2006, working for Comcast, DIRECTV, ADT Security Services, and more. While maintaining his own truck and supplies, Torstrup installed cable, Internet, alarm systems, and more. In addition, he conducted business and home inspections for more than 20 banks and lenders, and repaired computers. Robert Torstrup studied computer science at Northwest Florida State College.
Robert Torstrup has held positions in New Jersey and Florida. He worked for Comcast in New Jersey as a Broadband Technician before returning to Florida in 2007 to install alarm systems first for ADT Security Services/Tek Systems, and later for Bellsouth Security Systems Protection One. From 2000 to 2005, Robert Torstrup worked for Cox Communications in Florida as a Broadband Technician. He began his career in 1998 as an Electronic Technician for Algren Design, based in New Jersey.
Robert Torstrup holds certifications in security system installation in both Florida and Alabama, and he is a Cisco Certified Network Associate and Microsoft Certified Professional. In addition to his career, he coaches T-ball in his leisure time.
