Randy Blum
Though Randy Blum considers his work as the President of Blum Virtual Travel to be more than a full-time job, he still manages to find time for side activities which largely benefit people in his community and throughout the world. Blum volunteers for youth through the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), one of the largest multi-sport nonprofit organizations dedicated to developing and promoting sports events and teams for youth around the United States. The AAU provides representation for a number of sports, including baseball, basketball, wrestling, water polo, and martial arts, in addition to many others. As a coach for the AAU, Randy Blum helps encourage youths to prioritize their physical fitness and learn how to be part of a team. His interest in instruction does not only apply to young people, however. One of Randy Blum’s greatest passions is training German Shepherds to be ideal pets for individuals seeking companionship. Because they are intelligent and obedient as well as loyal, German Shepherds are often trained to be police and military dogs. With the proper preparation that Randy Blum provides, these large dogs can develop into disciplined guard animals that protect the people who they come to recognize as family. Outside of his work with German Shepherds, Randy Blum enjoys reading. Some of his favorite novels include Stephen King’s It, Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, and J. D. Robb’s Creation in Death. In addition to fictional works, Randy Blum also spends much of his time keeping up with information about tourism and makes a habit of reading about different places around the globe. He has amassed a large collection of books and DVDs about traveling. Randy Blum also supports a number of not-for-profit organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Doctors Without Borders, and the March of Dimes.
