Paul DellaRocco
During his decades-long career in hospital administration, Paul DellaRocco has garnered a reputation for achieving successful turnarounds of hospitals, health and educational facilities facing financial challenges. As CEO for Horizon Health & Educational Services, Inc., Mr. DellaRocco increased patient enrollment by implementing a network of satellite clinics, thereby serving a greater area and population. Paul DellaRocco went on to a position as CEO of American Health Enterprises, Inc., during which time he implemented a 12-month plan that effectively safeguarded a new facility from losing its Medicare certification, while also helping develop insurance initiatives to limit unnecessary health care expenses. In 1988, Mr. DellaRocco began new marketing campaigns for three hospitals run by Heritage Health Systems Inc., drawing more emergency room patients and increasing patient admissions for two of the clinics and bringing the third facility out of bankruptcy.
Currently, Paul DellaRocco serves as President and CEO of a management company he founded in 1992. The firm manages hospitals that care for both adults and children, and offers facilities ranging in size from 60 to over 200 beds. One of Mr. DellaRocco’s most recent projects involved the downsizing of a Catholic children’s hospital facing budget cuts, a move that saved 35% in expenses. Under his direction, the hospital was able to regain its financial stability within three years and double its operating budget, while also attracting 125% more patients. The American Hospital Association recognized Paul DellaRocco’s endeavors, awarding his project first place in the Great Comebacks contest. Mr. DellaRocco has also gained recognition for his effective marketing campaigns, receiving awards from the American Marketing Association and Academy of Health Sciences Marketing.
