Lloyd G LeCain
Retired Captain Lloyd G. LeCain has enjoyed a successful career as a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve. Currently serving as the President of the Department of California with the Reserve Officers Association of the United States (ROA), he helps provide advocacy services to reserve members in areas of employment rights, equipment, and training. Additionally, Lloyd G. LeCain works with ROA to ensure members of the Department of California have access to legal services, educational opportunities, a career center, and many military discounts and privileges. Founded almost 90 years ago, the ROA has become a fixture in the lives of many reservists, providing tools to help balance commitments between military and civilian life. In addition to his work with the ROA, Lloyd G. LeCain provides a variety of support services to reservists and their families as a Readiness Instructor with Naval Base Ventura County in California. Mr. LeCain continues to support many organizations, including the Surface Navy Association and the National Defense Transportation Association. As a proponent of the Naval War College Foundation, Mr. LeCain supports the nonprofit in continuing excellence of the educational institution through funding for research and program development. Lloyd G. LeCain is a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoys spending his free time studying the history of weapons. Mr. LeCain also takes opportunities to participate in service-oriented and charitable activities and maintains his status as a Knight in the Knights of Columbus. In 1972, he graduated from the Texas Maritime Academy at Texas A&M University. Studying marine transportation, Mr. LeCain earned a Bachelor of Science. Today, he lives in Lompoc, California.
