Lisabeth Marziello
As Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) who channels her professional abilities into creating positive futures for youth across the country, Lisabeth Marziello currently co-leads the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Metropolitan Area in Oregon. Since assuming leadership positions in 2002, she and her husband, Joseph Marziello, have achieved a number of accomplishments in the 18 locations. Named the top ranking organization among 227 Pacific Region clubs for daily attendance in summer 2010, the Boys & Girls Clubs in Lisabeth and Joseph Marziello’s jurisdiction also experienced nearly a tripled attendance rate and a more than 10 percent expense reduction that allowed increased program spending.
A longtime leader in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) movement, Lisabeth Marziello holds experience at clubs across the country, as well as in the organization’s national leadership ranks. Formerly a member of the Midwest Administrative Conference’s planning committee and the BGCA Board Governance Task Force, Mrs. Marziello presently offers her insights to the BGCA’s National Government Relations Committee and serves among the Distinguished Members of the BGCA Academy.
Lisabeth Marziello attended Whittier College in California and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English. Throughout an expansive journey with the BGCA, Lisabeth Marziello has received awards, some in conjunction with her husband, including National Executive of the Year from the BGCA, Oregon’s Most Admired CEOs from the Portland Business Journal, and CEOs of the Year from the BGCA Wisconsin Area Council. Past BGCA positions held by Lisabeth Marziello include roles as an Executive Director of the Utica Boys & Girls Clubs in New York, and a CEO of the Green Bay Boys & Girls Clubs in Wisconsin. In addition to her leadership roles, she nurtured close communications with various U.S. senators and effectively helped sustain BGCA’s National Federal Appropriation Funding.
