Kathryn Dardeck
Psychologist Kathryn Dardeck is a graduate of Boston University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. After graduating from Boston University, Kathryn Dardeck taught in a private boarding school in upstate New York for three years before enrolling at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she obtained her Master of Education in Psycholinguistics and Reading. While she was in graduate school, she worked as the Eastern Massachusetts Internship Coordinator through the University of Massachusetts Office of Internships for eight years. In this capacity, Kathryn Dardeck oversaw the operation and management of the undergraduate eastern Massachusetts based internship program. Her duties included developing internship sites and providing advice to students about ways they could combine work and academic experience for credit. In her final year of graduate school, Kathryn Dardeck also served as Assistant Dean of Students at Amherst College, counseling and advising students while additionally working in consort with the Dean's Office on administrative plans for shaping the future of student services.
Meanwhile, Kathryn Dardeck continued her studies at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, earning her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology in 1985. She joined the Brightside Outpatient Mental Health Clinic that same year as Staff Psychologist, and provided clinical services to clients (pediatrics to geriatrics), conducted psychological testing, inservice trainings to staff and supervised student interns. Currently, Kathryn Dardeck is Senior Psychologist at Ascendant Psychiatric Care & Consulting Centre in Hingham, Massachusetts where she maintains a private mental health practice.
