Dr. Tzvi Bar-David of Foot Associates of New York serves as a leading podiatrist and medical educator collaborating with New York Presbyterian Hospital and several professional organizations. Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. Tzvi Bar-David received his medical degree in podiatry from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1989 and completed a residency in foot surgery two years later. As a founding partner of Foot Associates of New York, with offices in Manhattan and the Bronx, Dr. Tzvi Bar-David and his colleagues treat many conditions, including sports-related pain and foot injuries, procedures for bunion and hammer toe corrections, metatarsalgia (pain affecting the ball of the foot), ingrown nails, plantar fasciitis, diabetes related foot conditions such as wounds and ulceration, and many other conditions. Possessing an extensive history in clinical education, Dr. Tzvi Bar-David first taught at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine shortly after completing his residency. During his four years at the college, Dr. Tzvi Bar-David served as Dean of Clinical Education, an Assistant Professor of Surgery, and an Associate Professor of Surgery. Leaving the school to work full-time in private practice, Dr. Tzvi Bar-David joined the Department of Orthopeadics at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University where he is currently a lecturer and the director of the Podiatric Surgery Service at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and consultant to the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center. Dr Tzvi Bar-David also holds an appointment at the New York Presbyterian Hospital / Cornell New York Hospital Center. Dr. Tzvi Bar-David regularly lectures before professional groups of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Dr. Tzvi Bar-David belongs to and has given presentations for the New York State Podiatric Medical Association (NYSPMA) and the American College of Foot and Angle Surgeons (ACFAS). With the ACFAS, Dr. Tzvi Bar-David also served as a regional Vice President, President and is currently a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Tzvi Bar-David also serves as a manuscript critic for the organization’s peer-reviewed publication, the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery.
