David Houtsma
Presiding as Pastor of Northside Family Worship Center and acting as a partner of Albright, Houtsma & Clark, LLC, attorney David Houtsma provides his Atlanta, Georgia, community with his services as a religious leader and an authority on legal matters. David Houtsma graduated summa cum laude from Christian Life International Bible College as class valedictorian with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. From this Novato, California, institution, David Houtsma continued on to Bethany College of the Assemblies of God in Scotts Valley, California, where he majored in Applied Professional Studies and acquired his ministry credentials. Upon completing his religious training, David Houtsma traveled to Krasnoyarsk, Russia, where he planted a church and initiated a breadth of faith-based programs that provided humanitarian aid and social services to community residents in need of assistance. He subsequently traveled to the Republic of the Congo in Africa, conducting many of the same religious and social services for disadvantaged populations. Upon returning to the United States two years later, he accepted a position as a pastor to the Marin Christian Life Church in Novato. Following a six-year tenure as a pastor in Novato, David Houtsma relocated to Georgia with his wife, where he enrolled in Georgia State College of Law and the duo sought to establish their own church in the Atlanta area. Initially offering church services in hotels and classrooms, the couple secured land on which they constructed a church to accommodate a rapidly growing congregation. David Houtsma prepares and performs Sunday worship services for the Northside Family Worship Center and leads the development of its children’s church, Wednesday night programs, and Sunday school curriculum. Obtaining his Juris Doctor from Georgia State College of Law, David Houtsma earned acceptance into the State Bar of Georgia and joined a local firm, where he honed his skills as an attorney. Shortly thereafter he and two partners opened their own firm, which now operates from offices in Buckhead and Alpharetta as well as Atlanta. The firm focuses its practice on real estate, e-commerce, corporate, and tax law. Attorney David Houtsma is also a notary public and licensed to serve as a Georgia title insurance agent for Ticor Title, LandAmerican Financial Group, Inc., and Southern Title.
