Jack Shaoul
Jack Shaoul immigrated to the United States in 1963. After attending high school in New York, Jack Shaoul went on to RCA Institutes, where he studied electronic engineering for two years. Following graduation, Jack Shaoul served in the United States Air Force for two and a half years, then left the armed services to open his own business. A man of many creative talents, Jack Shaoul chose to open a repair store at 30 E. 10th Street in New York. There, Jack Shaoul repaired Tiffany lamps and stained glass windows. Soon, however, Jack Shaoul decided to grow his operation by entering the antiques business. By buying pieces from estate sales, Jack Shaoul developed a thriving business selling antiques to the wholesale market. Specifically, Jack Shaoul focuses on sculptures, as well as works of bronze created in the 19th century in Europe and America. Aside from his experience as an antique connoisseur, Jack Shaoul has created films, screenplays, stories, and music. In fact, Jack Shaoul has produced nine films in total, one of which he also wrote and directed. Robot in the Family stands as one of the most recognizable of Jack Shaoul's movies; he released the light-hearted, feature-length film in 1994. Since Robot in the Family, Jack Shaoul has also produced such films as The Model Maker, Aunt Rose, and Baby Fat.
