About Colbee Burris:

Before he became a Regional Business Development Manager for Carl Zeiss Vision, Colbee Burris pursued a business degree on a sports scholarship. A star athlete in high school, Burris first attended Indian Hills Community College. During his studies at Indian Hills Community College, Colbee Burris maintained a consistently high grade point average. His baseball team won the Conference Championship in 1995 as well as 1996, and Burris joined the team in the National Junior College World Series.

Colbee Burris earned his Associate degree and went on to attend Florida International University on a baseball scholarship. In his last semester, however, Burris returned to the Midwest to complete his degree at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where he ultimately earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Colbee Burris brings a strong work ethic to his current sales role. He credits his dedication and perseverance to work on the family farm in Iowa.

In addition, Burris has held positions in finance, telecommunications, and real estate. As a Regional Development Manager for Carl Zeiss Vision, Colbee Burris holds responsibility for training and oversight of many members of the corporation’s regional sales team in Florida and Alabama. Serving as a leader and mentor, Colbee Burris travels extensively with his team, ensuring the completion of company goals for its lab in Clearwater, Florida. Among many achievements, Colbee Burris’ team has achievieved numerous key comapny initiatives since his promotion.

In recognition of his potential for continued company leadership, Colbee Burris was recently honored with a nomination to participate in the company’s Junior Leadership Program (JLP) in Germany. Colbee Burris originally joined Carl Zeiss Vision as a sales representative in 2003, working in Iowa and Illinois. After increasing annual sales by more than $4 million, he accepted a promotion to a Business Development Manager in 2009, serving the state of Florida. The same year, Burris won the President’s Challenge Award for his outstanding performance. He took on his current position a year later.
