Charles Eselin
With 12 years of experience in law enforcement and security, Charles Eselin Jr. presently serves in the excavation field at EAO Inc., located in Poland, New York. Charles Eselin Jr. excavates water, sewer, and electrical lines and performs onsite work.
Prior to joining EAO, Charles Eselin Jr. served the U.S. Army Installation Management Command at Fort Drum in New York, where he acted as an Armed Security Officer and enforced the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), as well as Title 10 and Title 18 of the United States Code (USC). Charles Eselin Jr. monitored ingress and egress of personnel to the base, issued warnings or citations to those who violated the motor vehicle ordinance, and detained unauthorized individuals. He prepared for this position by gaining federal certification in criminal law; weapons training such as baton, OC spray, and 9mm qualifications; search and seizure; explosive threats; defensive tactics and martial arts; and vehicle and traffic laws. While serving at Fort Drum, Charles Eselin Jr. also functioned as a Security Officer at the Masonic Care Community in Utica, New York, where he responded to calls for assistance and patrolled the grounds.
From 2006 until 2010, Charles Eselin served as a Federal Police Officer with the Department of Defense in Rome, New York. He served as a Patrolman and responded to emergencies, enforced motor vehicle and criminal laws, and protected citizens and property. He also identified and arrested suspects. In addition, Charles Eselin Jr. monitored alarm systems, maintained the desk blotter, and acted as a Desk Sergeant. Due to Government cut backs, he was asked to look for work some where else. Charles Eselin Jr. then enrolled in the New York Police Academy at his expense, so that way he could save tax dollar money doing what he wants to do for a career, and that is be a civilian Police Officer.
From 2004 to 2006, Charles Eselin served Wackenhut Corporation in Utica, New York, as a Security Officer to prevent disorderly conduct, theft, and vandalism. He also maintained the premise’s security by monitoring employees’ entrances and departures. Just after the 9/11 attacks, Charles Eselin Jr. served as a Military Police Officer for the 107th Military Police Unit in Utica, New York, and he worked at Ground Zero as a Law Enforcement and Security Officer to secure the site and protect the first responders. He also helped dig thru the ruble and aid injured personal.
Charles Eselin Jr. graduated from the New York Police Academy program at Cazenovia College; he earned an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and Applied Science from Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, New York. Charles Eselin Jr. received his Federal Law Enforcement Certification from the State National Training Service, Inc., and his Criminal Justice Certification from the Madison-Oneida Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES).
