Angela Craciun
Mineralogy expert Angela Craciun is President of the Organisation Mondiale de Mineralogie (World Mineralogy Organization), which fosters the study of the geological field. In this role, she contributes to conferences, seminars, articles, and debates on the science of minerals, and facilitates collaboration among leading researchers on the governmental and civic level. In addition to supporting further study, Angela Craciun presents awards to outstanding scientists for the Monaco-based organization on behalf of Prince Albert I and Prince Rainier III.
A resident of the Loire Valley of France, Angela Craciun actively advocates for the environmental quality and cultural richness of her home. As the owner of the 19th century castle, Chateau de la Huardière, Angela Craciun is working with others in the arts community to bring international cultural events to the Valley. This includes cinematic events in partnership with film festivals and organizations, such as the International Student Film Festival, the CineMAiubit Student Film Festival, and the Cinema Verité Institute. Angela Craciun is the founder and President of ACAP Loire (Association pour la Connaissance de la Culture et du Patrimoine de la Loire).
Angela Craciun graduated from the Technical University of Petrosani in Romania, receiving her Doctorate. She also studied mining in France and Russia and international business in Japan. An honorary member of the Association Les Amis de la France in Romania, Angela Craciun contributes to Rotary International, Diamond Cinema, and the Diamonds Ball. In her leisure time, she appreciates art, music, and film. Additionally, Angela Craciun enjoys skiing, dancing, and riding horses.
