For more than 25 years, Adam Block has successfully served as a restaurant consultant while refining his expertise and broadening his experience within the industry. Critical acclaim for his firm, Block & Associates, LLC (B&A), has spread throughout the international community; since establishing B&A in 1986, Adam Block has overseen more than 1,200 food and beverage related projects on six different continents.

Throughout his career, Adam Block has offered his assistance as a restaurant consultant to some of the culinary world’s most famous figures. Previous high-profile collaborations include work with Thomas Keller, who is most famous for his leadership at the French Laundry, as well as Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin. Recently Adam Block traveled to South Africa to evaluate and develop the culinary offerings of Johannesburg’s Sandton Sun hotel. After studying the possibilities, Adam Block re-focused the Sandton Sun’s dining options to provided a more in-depth view of local cuisine as a way to showcase the attributes inherent to the region.

In addition to providing services to hotels and restaurants as a consultant, Adam Block owns and operates Print Restaurant and the Press Lounge in New York City. Print Restaurant offers New-American cuisine, with an emphasis on seasonal, sustainable and traceable sourcing; to achieve this vision, Print Restaurant was the first restaurant in New York City to hire a full time forager to focus on purchasing protocol with regional farmers. The Press Lounge, located 16 floors above Print Restaurant in the Ink48 Hotel, is heralded as one of Manhattan's top rooftop venues; in 2010 New York Magazine named it as the City's best rooftop lounge and Urban Daddy awarded it the Perfect 10.
