Joe Kenan
Psychiatry professional Dr. Joe Kenan currently manages Joe Kenan, M.D., and Associates. Founded in 2002, Joe Kenan, M.D., and Associates provides psychiatric evaluation services for cases regarding family law, psychological trauma, and sexual abuse allegations. He also serves as an Associate for Park Dietz & Associates, Inc., and contributes his expertise in forensic psychiatry. Dr. Joe Kenan joined the Advisory Board of Directors of the Psychological Trauma Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 2002. In 2006, Dr. Joe Kenan accepted membership to the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry (ASAP) and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL). By participating in both organizations, Joseph Kenan has gained insight into the governing aspects of ethics and practice in child psychiatry and the legal system. Dr. Joe Kenan has served the ASAP by participating in the Programming Committee, Executive Committee, and Legislative Committee. In 2009, Dr. Joe Kenan advanced to Program Chair and in 2010, he was elected President of the ASAP. In 2007, Dr. Joe Kenan acted as liaison with the Forensic Sciences Committee of the AAPL. Gradually, Dr. Joe Kenan became more active and served on the Ethics Committee, Program Committee, Addiction Psychiatry Committee, and Suicidology Committee. He currently serves as President of the Southern California Society for Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition to balancing his time between professional organizations and his consulting firm, Joseph Kenan oversees clinical trainees at the Psychological Trauma Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Joe Kenan also contributes as an editor on the Editor’s Reviewer Board for the Journal of Forensic Sciences.
