Tylina Powell

Noted for her outstanding management abilities, Tylina Powell currently works as a manager for Goldberg, Milstein & Black, LLC, a position she has held since 2003. Since beginning to work for this Dublin, Ohio-headquartered alternative dispute-resolution company close to a decade ago, Ms. Powell has been instrumental to the firm’s success, maintaining responsibility for policy development and adherence, metrics evaluation, employee oversight, and interdepartmental support. Tylina Powell previously served as Collections Manager at Car Now Acceptance Corporation, located in nearby Columbus, where she directed a staff of associates.

Earlier in her professional life, Ms. Powell worked as an account representative for OSI, where she received the employee of the month honor four times her work with customers on debt repayment and achieved the distinction of serving as the company’s top revenue performer. Beginning in the mid-1990s, Tylina Powell spent over half a decade as a corrections officer (CO) for the Department of Rehabilitation for the State of Ohio. During her time as a CO, where Ms. Powell honed her communication and listening skills, she earned a credential as a Certified Hostage Negotiator and completed training related to gang affiliation and special response.

At the onset on her career, Tylina Powell majored in psychology and law enforcement at Columbus State Community College, where she earned Dean’s List honors and received an Associate of Arts in 1994. Dedicated to community service, Ms. Powell donates her time as a volunteer for organizations including Meals on Wheels, The Laurels at Hilliard, and Greenlawn Cemetery, in addition to facilitating youth rehabilitation programs through the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Similarly committed to helping people who have been incarcerated, Ms. Powell is certified in prison ministry by The Vineyard Church. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, attending church activities, and training her German shepherd.
