Truett Bridges Jr. MD
Mercer Truett Bridges, Jr., MD, is the President of Global Aesthetics, LLC, in Atlanta, Georgia. In his capacity as Medical Director and Chief Surgeon, Truett Bridges, MD, directs patient care, and performs cosmetic surgery and enhancements at leading hair transplant facilities in the area. A hair restoration expert, he employs several procedures to treat patients experiencing hair loss. The two most common methods are follicular unit transplantation (FUT) and follicular unit extraction (FUE) harvest techniques. In both procedures, Dr. Bridges moves hair from a donor site to a balding area, the recipient site, to create a healthy, natural, and undetectable appearance. Since 2009, Dr. Bridges has been associated with Nu/Hart Hair Solutions, P. C., Hair Restoration Specialists of Atlanta, and The Griffin Center for Hair Restoration & Research.
In addition to providing patient care, Truett Bridges, MD, is committed to patient education and the advancement of hair replacement technology. He has authored or co-authored many informational pamphlets on the topic of hair restoration. Dr. Bridges has also delivered many papers and presentations at annual symposia held by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. In 2002, he gave a presentation titled “Sedation and Analgesia for Hair Transplantation,” and in 2003, another titled “Long-Acting Local Anesthetics.”
Mercer Truett Bridges, Jr., MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in 1985, where he also completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology. Prior to this, Dr. Bridges received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Augusta State University. From 2001 to 2004, he undertook a clinical fellowship in hair transplant surgery. He is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
