Sunny Aasgaard
As owner and operator of American Adworks, a full-service ad agency based in Tucker, Georgia, Sunny Aasgaard publishes and distributes the Atlanta Senior Resources Directory. This publication provides vital information to senior citizens and their families throughout the greater Atlanta area. Through her work, Ms. Aasgaard has made a noteworthy contribution toward helping seniors in Metro Atlanta lead fuller, richer lives.
Sunny Aasgaard established the Senior Resources Directory in 2002. The Directory provides hundreds of hard-to-find phone numbers for Atlanta-area organizations that offer services to seniors, their caretakers, their medical providers, and their families. Under Ms. Aasgaard’s leadership, the Directory quickly grew to five editions covering 12 Metro Atlanta counties in Northern Georgia.
As Chief Executive Officer of the Senior Resources Directory, Sunny Aasgaard maintains responsibility for all aspects of publication, including research and development, graphic design, distribution, public awareness, education, and fundraising.
The Senior Resources Directory has become an indispensable resource for thousands and thousands of people. In order to provide the Directory’s users with comprehensive information, she includes every qualified service in a wide range of categories, including advocacy, government agencies, employment assistance, legal and financial avenues, adult day care, home health agencies, private home care, hospitals, all types of senior living options, and transportation, among many others.
In addition to her work with the Senior Resources Directory, Sunny Aasgaard has received numerous graphic design awards and helped dozens of people to start their own businesses.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Sunny Aasgaard enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, and reading. She is also a horseback rider, snow skier, and softball aficionado who plays whenever she can.
