Steve Wandler
Raised in the small Canadian town of Cold Lake, Alberta, Steve Wandler (http://www.stevewandler.com) later moved to Kelowna British Columbia with his family. The Founder of YourTechOnline.com, Steve Wandler has been the driving force behind the company and has helped lead it to several honors, including being named 2004’s “Technology Business of the Year” by the Business Development Bank of Canada, 2005’s “Editor’s Choice” by PC Magazine, and 2007’s “Small/Medium Business of the Year” by PC Magazine. Steve Wandler has been featured in several YouTube.com videos for YourTechOnline.com, offering tips on some common PC problems. You can view his videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/stevewandler. In addition, Steve Wandler has been featured as a guest speaker on the Martha Stewart radio show in 2006, as well as an expert for the Canadian Broadcast Corporation and Shaw Cable. In May 2008, Steve Wandler sold YourTechOnline.com to California-based Support.com, where he now works in a Senior Leadership position. Mr. Steve Wandler currently sits on a number of advisory boards and looks forward to sharing his technical and entrepreneurial expertise with other young businesses in the future. Steve Wandler is also a Board Member of the Okanagan Science and Technology Council, where he is making it a goal to build a bridge between Canada’s high tech companies and Silicon Valley. In addition to his work, Steve Wandler also has a passion for his community, which he shows by volunteering for several different organizations. Steve Wandler is a former volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteered at the Ironman Canada race from 1997 to 2007. In addition to local community projects, Steve Wandler is passionate about helping the global community and is the driving force behind a project he started that would aid Africa in gaining access to better technology. Steve Wandler engages in a wide variety of hobbies, including competitive sports, such as hockey (for which he has won several medals in addition to having the honor of being scouted by the Kamloops Blazer WHL hockey team), track and field (for which he won several medals), and volleyball. An avid reader, Steve Wandler counts Patrick Lencioni and Jim Collins among his favorite authors.
