Sherif Mityas
Over the course of his career, Sherif Mityas has developed in-depth business knowledge and comprehension. Currently an independent consultant, Mr. Mityas previously served as a Partner with A.T. Kearney, a global consulting management firm, where he oversaw operations across North America. In addition to the firm’s business development, Sherif Mityas was in charge of personnel matters such as intellectual capture and staff development. With a background in engineering and business consultation, Mr. Mityas displayed a sharp intellect in his role.
Sherif Mityas earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University in 1989. After graduation, he matriculated to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He utilized the education he received from the institutions to serve as a Senior Aerodynamic Engineer for Pratt & Whitney United Technologies Corp. In 1992, Mr. Mityas re-entered academia and earned a Master of Business Administration from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. His training in the business world led to his initial position at A.T. Kearney.
In 1994, Sherif Mityas joined A.T. Kearney as an Associate. During his three years in the role, he developed a global strategy for a paint-handling equipment manufacturer and implemented a joint process improvement plan for telecommunication products and a retail merchandising plan for a Fortune 50 retailer. Mr. Mityas’ talent was identified by Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group, who subsequently hired him to serve as Senior Manager for the firm. His responsibilities included the management of client teams and consultation with major clients.
In 1999, Sherif Mityas rejoined A.T. Kearney and served as North America Practice Leader. He holds membership in several professional organizations including the Committee of the Chicago Commercial Club, the Executives Club of Chicago, the Board of the Civic Consulting Alliance, and the Board of Northwestern Kellogg School of Management. In addition, Mr. Mityas receives a multitude of invitations for speaking engagements and insight from media outlets.
