With headquarters in San Diego, California, Satori World Medical works to coordinate medical procedures abroad for a wide range of individuals. To ensure medical excellence, the Chief Medical Officer of Satori World Medical, Dr. Ron Johnson, M.D., F.A.C.S., makes a personal quality check visit to each facility and oversees an ongoing auditing process. Satori World Medical centers have been accredited by Joint Commission International and employ highly trained and board-certified physicians as well as English-speaking nurses and other medical staff members.
By sending patients abroad to complete their procedures, Satori World Medical can save patients, plan sponsors, and employers as much as 40 to 80 percent of the cost for the procedure in the United States.
To ensure comfort and continuity for patients, Satori World Medical employs a staff of Nurse Patient Advocates and Travel Care Coordinators to arrange every detail of a procedure, from taking a medical history to arranging hotel stays. As Registered Nurses, Satori World Medical Nurse Patient Advocates consult with patients, discussing procedures, helping with the transfer of medical records, and scheduling follow-up care. Travel Care Coordinators have extensive experience in medical travel and assist patients by reserving hotels, making flight reservations, and offering customer service and support 24 hours a day.
Once patients have arrived at their destination, a Satori World Medical concierge host meets them and their companions, conducting them through immigrations and customs and to their hotels. This concierge host handles travel to and from the hospital and hotel, transporting the patient and the patient’s companion, and arranging their return to the airport after recovery.
