Ryan Gilway
Dedicated to community service and giving, Ryan Gilway shows his support as a charitable donor for several youth-related organizations. Among them is the Childhood Leukemia Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing free educational instruction and physical therapy activities to children and families affected by cancer. Ryan Gilway has given his time to helping Maryland’s inner-city children through Bridges at St. Paul’s School, and he remains an advocate for the National Children’s Center, a foundation with over 50 years of experience assisting children with developmental disabilities.
As an undergraduate student at Utah’s Westminster College, Ryan Gilway currently works toward his expected 2012 graduation. Along with his finance and business studies, Ryan Gilway involves himself in the University’s Garden Club and Ski & Snowboard Society.
Prior to enrolling at Westminster, Ryan Gilway attended Rotherglen Preparatory Academy in Oakville, Ontario. During his high school career at St. Paul’s School in Brooklandville, Maryland, Ryan Gilway completed college preparatory assignments, contributed to the success of the varsity football team, and sang in the chamber choir.
Away from school, Ryan Gilway’s passion for Scuba diving has led him to explore the remarkable flora and fauna in one of the world’s largest salt-water seas. In addition to his Caribbean travels, Ryan Gilway has visited Iceland, Germany, and Denmark. For leisure, Ryan Gilway enjoys reading novels about the American West. Among his favorites are Teresa Jordan’s Riding the White Horse Home and Patricia Nelson Limerick’s The Legacy of Conquest.
