A motivated and business savvy professional, Russell Heflich currently owns a restaurant design-build firm headquartered in Sloatsburg, New York. Serving as General Manager, Project Head, and Lead Designer for the company, Mr. Heflich oversees the daily project development and administrative duties of 15 employees and collaborates with as many as 20 different subcontractors each day.
With 30 years in the construction industry, Russell Heflich has successfully designed, constructed, and/or renovated more than 1,000 hospitality facilities. His work is extensive, including privately held and franchise/chain restaurants, diners, entertainment clubs, catering businesses, and upscale country clubs. His projects have been far reaching, from New York, New Jersey, and Delaware to Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Mr. Heflich also commands expertise in design-building car dealerships and thoroughbred horse farms in the New York metropolitan area and Florida.
As a small-business owner, Mr. Heflich emphasizes personal attention in all he does. He coordinates directly with each project owner or agent, architect, and site and structural engineer on a daily basis. He also serves as the point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and tradesman working on site, and he presents any necessary information, plans, and architectural renderings to municipal planning and/or zoning boards that require approval. In addition, Mr. Heflich collaborates with all health, fire, and zoning officials and building inspectors involved in the project to ensure codes are met.
Outside the office, Russell Heflich spends time with his wife and three adult children and their families. He also enjoys participating in events with his local Catholic church and donating his time and resources to charities and nonprofits focused on eliminating homelessness and providing food and supplies to underprivileged families. During his vacations, Russell Heflich takes snowmobiling trips and camping expeditions to Upstate New York and Canada.
