Roy Beyer
Since 2001, Roy Beyer has been the owner and operator of Beyer's Consulting, Ltd. The company provides strategic public relations advice for organizations seeking to rebuild previous initiatives or to connect with a target audience within the general public to build a new initiative. Although the company was founded with a focus on general marketing consulting, working, for example, with Medican Development in regional expansion planning, Beyer's Consulting, Ltd. has achieved prominence through its emphasis in the political arena. In the past, the company has worked with the Canadian Alliance on community outreach initiatives, and for Tony Clement for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada.
In 2000, Beyer created the “Families for Day” campaign, which was instrumental in electing Stockwell Day as Leader of the Canadian Alliance. After the federal election of 2000, Stockwell Day became the Leader of the Official Opposition in Canada. Roy Beyer also served as a consultant on Day's community outreach team.
In addition, Roy Beyer has served as Operations Director for the Foundation for National Policy Trust. In this position, he promoted public policies supporting traditional Canadian values, limited government, and individual freedom. In 2005, Roy Beyer led efforts to raise over $1 million in funding to support projects such as the Defend Marriage Coalition, the Pro-Marriage Network, and Vote Marriage Canada. Vote Marriage Canada focused on electing fiscal and socially conservative Members of Parliament in 30 target ridings during the federal election of 2006, an election that produced a Conservative Party minority government with Stephen Harper as Prime Minister.
An active participant within his community, Roy Beyer was a member of the Alberta Conservative Party and the former Reform Party of Canada, which evolved to become the Canadian Alliance. He is currently an active member of the Alberta Wild Rose Party and the Conservative Party of Canada.
Roy Beyer received his secondary school education from Winston Churchill High School in Lethbridge, Alberta, later graduating with honors from the Full Gospel Bible College in Eston, Saskatchewan. In addition to his Diploma in Religious and Pastoral Studies, Beyer holds an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Canada Christian College in Toronto. At the age of 28, in 1988, Beyer was a founding Director of the Victory Churches of Canada, which became the fastest-growing denomination in Canada during its first five years.
Roy Beyer married his wife Shelley in 1982, and they are the parents of three children. Their children are now adults with successful careers. Beyer resides in Calgary, Alberta.
