Robin Yeganeh
As a clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in his field, Robin Yeganeh, PhD, offers effective treatment for stress-related conditions, anxiety, and OCD spectrum disorders. Dr. Robin Yeganeh studied psychology and clinical psychology at the University of Maryland at College Park from 1995 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and doctoral degree in the process. Focusing on anxiety disorders, he began his clinical research in 1998 at the Maryland Center for Anxiety of Disorders, eventually overseeing studies at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda. In addition, Dr. Robin Yeganeh has reviewed studies submitted for publication for the Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry among other publications, and founded the campus organization Research, Practice, and Issues in Clinical Psychology (RPICP).
In 2000, while still studying at the University of Maryland, Dr. Robin Yeganeh continued as a clinician and researcher, conducting clinical interviews with adults and children using standardized semi-structured interviews, as well as neuropsychological assessments for attention, mood, anxiety, and learning disabilities. Following this period, Dr. Robin Yeganeh worked as a Clinical Extern for the Washington D.C., VA Medical Center, treating veterans through psychotherapy. At the same time as he worked in both of these positions, he served as a Clinician and Researcher for the Maryland Center for Anxiety Disorders, where he performed multiple duties including coordinating externally funded studies, diagnostic interviews, and supervising beginning psychology students. Dr. Yeganeh also completed an internship at the University of California, San Diego and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System, helping veterans with Axis I disorders using cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions.
After completing his education, Dr. Robin Yeganeh stayed with UCSD and VA San Diego Healthcare System, serving as a clinician for the Post Deployment Primary Care Clinic. His services included conducting initial intake assessments with returning veterans, providing treatment using imaginal exposure and CBT for trauma survivors, and offering weekly supervision to clinicians in training and clinical research assistants. Currently, Dr. Yeganeh oversees the Cognitive Behavior Therapy & Mindfulness Center in San Ramon, California, where he treats patients with CBT and mindfulness based therapies and trains clinicians through continuing education talks in the San Francisco Bay Area.
