Robert Cucuel
A well-regarded figure in the home care medical supply industry, Robert Cucuel currently functions as Healthcare Operating Partner at Kohlberg & Company, LLC. Cucuel has held many notable roles as an executive with firms such as Home Health Corporation of America, Inc. Home Nutritional Services, Inc., and American HomePatient. In 1999, Robert Cucuel served on a team that founded American Homecare Supply, LLC, which expanded through the acquisition of more than 30 other businesses in the field of home care. After leading the business enterprise as Chief Executive Officer for several years, Robert Cucuel decided to sell American Homecare Supply in 2002. Robert Cucuel oversaw the $165 million sale of American Homecare Supply to Air Products Healthcare, one of the top companies in the European market. Air Products Healthcare offers services to meet patients’ and medical professionals’ needs for helium, oxygen, nitrogen, respiratory therapy products, and mobile breathing systems. Cucuel became a leader within the American arm of the company, overseeing new locations in New Jersey, as well as the acquisition of companies such as Ultra Care, Inc. Later in the decade, Robert Cucuel served as the founder, President, and Chief Executive Office of Critical Homecare Solutions, Inc. between 2006 and 2010. During Robert Cucuel’s tenure, the company achieved annual revenues of $252 million and conducted numerous acquisitions. In 2008, Critical Homecare Solutions, then part of Kohlberg & Company, LLC, opted to sell its outstanding capital stock to MBF Healthcare Acquisition Corp. in lieu of going forward with an initial public offering. In 2010, Bioscrip, Inc. bought Critical Homecare Solutions, Inc. from Kohlberg & Company for $365 million.
