Rick Ament
With more than 25 years of health care management experience, Rick Ament brings a range of executive skills to the entities he serves. His strengths include team development, visionary leadership, strategic planning, new business generation, and multi-facility management. Ament’s career includes consistent advancement and achievement, making him a valuable asset to the health care industry in Midwestern America.
In 2009, for example, Rick Ament joined the Legislative Panel of the Michigan Hospital Association. He also joined the organization’s Business Advisory Council in the same year. Additional affiliations include serving as an Officer in the Lake Superior Community Partnership and the Upper Peninsula Health Care Network.
A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Ament earned a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. He later received a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Hospital Administration from Ohio State University.
Currently, Ament serves as Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Organizational Sustainability (SOS) Partners, which he founded. The firm provides a range of sustainability services such as assessments, education and training, and focused consultation, which can be individually tailored to meet the needs of different hospitals and other health care providers. Ament’s group also offers a three-year Partners Program aimed at instilling a culture of sustainability into all levels of an organization.
Prior to founding SOS Partners, Rick Ament held numerous senior-level positions with health care institutions, including serving as President of Beacon Leadership Group in Mattawan, Michigan. As head of the company, Ament fulfilled the role of Chief Executive Officer and Administrator for three separate health care corporations, each of which was involved in a strategic transition at the time.
