As any automobile accident lawyer knows, whether in Philadelphia or elsewhere, personal injury cases arising from auto accidents and truck accidents are among the most common of all personal injury cases. Sometimes motor vehicle accidents are caused by improperly maintained roads or poor signage. Most accidents occur because a driver is pre-occupied and not fully focused on the task of driving. Other times, drivers are simply going too fast because they are in a hurry to get somewhere. On other occasions, negligent drivers may be talking on cell phones, watching movies on DVD players, adjusting the radio, drinking coffee, picking up an item they dropped on the floor, or any one of a number of other actions that lead to automobile and truck accidents. Because there are more distractions today than at any point in history, the problem may only be expected to intensify in the near future.
