Randy Gemmer
Randy Gemmer of League City, Texas, spends a great deal of time involved in professional pursuits. As a Communications Director in the insurance industry, he has authored a wide range of corporate communications publications, including copy for brochures, speeches, internal sales, and marketing support pieces. In addition, he holds the Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation, bestowed by the Life Office Management Association (LOMA), an organizations that has furthered thousands of insurance professionals’ career. A FLIMI certifies that an individual has undertaken and passed rigorous courses testing knowledge of myriad aspects of the insurance industry. Additionally, for four years, Gemmer was a correspondent for the Galveston County Daily News, acting as a sports Freelance Writer covering events in Galveston County and surrounding areas. Prior to his current roles, Randy Gemmer gained invaluable experience in both fields. In 1995, he served as a Writer and Editor for Noble Continuing Education, a company in Houston that provides insurance agents with continuing education programs. Gemmer wore many hats at Noble, including customer service support. His primary duty involved writing and editing tests and books for the continuing education of insurance agents seeking to keep their licenses current. In 1997, Gemmer assumed the role of Proposal Consultant for Prudential HealthCare in Houston, where he handled requests for proposals (RFPs) from brokers and clients. In addition, Randy Gemmer created marketing presentations, coordinated the RFP process with other departments, and answered health care questionnaires. When Randy Gemmer is not busy with his professional life, he enjoys fishing, lifting weights, and playing softball. An avid reader, he lists as his favorite authors as Russian fiction and essay writer Fyodor Dostoevsky; U.S. novelist and short-story writer T.C. Boyle; and English satirical author Tom Sharpe. A charitable individual, Randy Gemmer donates to the United Way Worldwide and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
