Peter Sukits
An MBA student at the Samuel Curtis Johnson School of Management at Cornell University, Peter Sukits is currently studying in the managerial finance immersion program. He is a member of the Johnson Association of Veterans Public Speaking Club, the Vice President of Corporate Events for the consulting club, a member of the Old Ezra Finance Club, and a participant in the GE Case Competition Team. Peter Sukits has also received a Nolan Fellowship in recognition of his scholastic achievements.
Peter Sukits received his B.S. in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, where he was awarded an Army ROTC Scholarship and achieved distinguished military student status. After graduating in 2006, Peter Sukits spent five years serving in the United States military. As a Fire Direction Officer at Fort Bragg, he was responsible for coaching a 24-solider security team through specialized training so they could receive accelerated certification for overseas contingency operations. As a Platoon Leader at Fort Bragg, he led 39 soldiers in garrison and combat in Afghanistan while commanding the final M198 airborne operation in US Army history. As an Operations Officer at Fort Bragg, he was in charge of planning for a 300-man battalion and responsible for generating weekly fragmentary orders. As a Gunnery Instructor at Fort Sill, Peter Sukits produced over 200 Army and Marine Corps artillery lieutenants while serving as a role model for new military officers.
Previously, Peter Sukits has volunteered with community organizations such as the UPMC Passavant Hospital, Save the Children, and Loaves and Fishes. Some of his hobbies include golf, gourmet cooking, and jazz music.
