Establishing the New York-based consultancy Spiridellis & Associates, Inc. in 1974, Mr. Spiridellis grew the firm and its subsidiaries from minimal resources into an $18 million-a-year enterprise. His firm offered high level information technology consulting on IT-related corporate assignments, advanced technology programming and communications, and disaster recovery planning. These aspects of Spiridellis & Associates, Inc. operations were anchored by an extensive IBM mainframe facility, housing a variety of supporting minicomputers. Nikolaos Spiridellis sold his firm and affiliate offices in 1982 to Cap Gemini Sogeti. Mr. Spiridellis acquired back the technical training company CompEd in 1983. The firm was a pioneer in specialized training for data processing employees. In 1986, Nikolaos Spiridellis founded Spiridellis Consulting Group, Inc., which he grew into an enterprise with $6 million in annual revenue within a span of 2 years. President until 1999. Mr. Spiridellis also maintained responsibility for all merger and acquisition operations. In this capacity, he utilized in-depth knowledge of legal issues, financial functions, partnerships, and budget-driven solutions.
