Mychol Robirds
Mychol Robirds of Portland, Oregon, possesses an accomplished background in business, sports, and military achievement. A U.S. Army veteran, Robirds currently serves as the President and co-founder of Securus Payments, one of the fastest-growing merchant services company in North America.
Growing up in the Portland area, Mychol Robirds participated in athletics throughout high school, playing basketball, baseball, and football. After graduating, he went on to play semiprofessional football for a year with aspirations of one day walking on to the University of Oregon football team. After the September 11, 2001, attacks, Robirds felt compelled to fight for his country and joined the U.S. Army as a Forward Observer. Deployed to Bosnia in 2002, he completed information-gathering missions and earned both an Army Achievement Medal and Commendation Medal for his work there. In 2004, Mychol Robirds was sent to Iraq with his Combat Observation/Lasing Team and joined up with a Brigade Reconnaissance Team operating out of Tikrit. While on patrol, Robirds’ convoy was attacked by a suicide bomber, and he took injuries to his chest and head. Just over a year later, his injuries forced him to leave the army and return home.
Back in the United States, Mychol Robirds found that jobs were scarce. After working in sales for a period with 24 Hour Fitness USA, Inc., Robirds left the job to pursue a career in the merchant services industry. Eventually joining a private firm, he traveled up and down the U.S. West Coast, managing and growing sales accounts. He followed up this job with a position at Purple Heart Services, a call center operator and media management company made up entirely of U.S. veterans that have earned Purple Hearts. At Purple Heart Services, Mychol Robirds impressed his superiors with his business expertise and his ability to lead sales operations with precision.
In 2009, Mychol Robirds and his friend launched merchant services firm Securus Payments with just a few hundred dollars in capital. They have since recruited an elite sales staff of over 75 agents and expanded operations across North America. In his executive capacity, Mychol Robirds oversees local and remote employees and manages business income of several million dollars.
